You will experience mild redness, pinpoint bleeding, swelling and bruising for a few days after treatment. On average, patients are red for up to 2 to 4 days but some heal completely in as little as 24 hours.
Immediately following the treatment you will look red, resembling moderate sunburn. The skin will feel warm and slightly tight. You will experience some redness and mild swelling for 24-48 hours post-treatment.
Micro-needling can significantly reduce and improve the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, hyper-pigmentation, acne scars, traumatic scars and stretch marks.
Patients typically feel some mild discomfort during their microneedling sessions, but it is not considered painful. Numbing cream or local anesthesia can be requested if you are nervous or anxious about the procedure.
30 minutes for topical numbing to be applied prior to treatment. Then procedure takes 30-45 minutes depending on the size of the area to be treated.
Patients notice an immediate “glow” to their skin. Visible changes to the skin develop over the course of several days and weeks. Results can continue to improve up to 6 months after a treatment as collagen production continues.
